Once your pickups are connected, the 3-way switch functions as a standard Tele® with a master volume pot first and the master tone pot toward the rear. The Volume and Tone push/pull pots will work together to control the modality of the P-Rails (or any other 4-wire pickups.)
Both knobs down = both pickups in series mode.
Both knobs up = both pickups in parallel mode.
Volume up, Tone down = rail only mode.
Volume down, Tone up = P90 mode.
Connection is easy. All you need is a screwdriver and a soldering iron. Directions are included in the package and are easy to follow. This control plate should be grounded to your guitar by utilizing the bridge ground and body ground wires that should be on your guitar from the factory. If you’re building a new guitar from scratch then you will have to source some 22 gauge ground wire.
